What is HoME+?

HoME+ is a 24/7 non-invasive monitoring, alert, and response system designed to safeguard seniors living alone or those who spend significant time alone at home. Unlike traditional surveillance methods, HoME+ employs discreet motion sensors and panic buttons to monitor activity patterns, ensuring privacy while providing alerts to caregivers and emergency responders when anomalies are detected .

Key Features

  • Non-Intrusive Monitoring: Four motion sensors are strategically placed in the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom to detect movement without compromising privacy. Importantly, no cameras are used.

  • Emergency Response: Two panic buttons (portable and wall-mounted) allow users to summon immediate assistance from trained first aid responders.

  • 24/7 Helpline: A dedicated helpline offers basic first aid and psychological support, assessing situations and escalating to emergency services when necessary.

  • Caregiver Integration: Caregivers can track the user's movements via a mobile app, receiving notifications and alerts. A WhatsApp group is also established for seamless communication .

The system requires Wi-Fi connectivity and is installed without the need for drilling or extensive modifications. The monthly subscription fee is S$48, with assessments for subsidies conducted on a case-by-case basis .
