Welcome to GeriMedEd!

Hi, I’m glad you’re here! 👋

I’m a geriatric medicine registrar with a deep passion for teaching, learning, and improving the way we care for older adults. Over the years, I’ve realised that while geriatrics is one of the most rewarding fields in medicine, it’s also one of the most complex — and sometimes under-taught. That’s why I started GeriMedEd.

This site is my space to share what I’ve learned (and am still learning!) along the way — from clinical tips and flowcharts to interactive simulations like our delirium module. My hope is that whether you’re a medical student, resident, or a healthcare professional wanting to brush up on geriatric care, you’ll find resources here that feel practical, approachable, and relevant to your daily practice.

Why I Do This

I believe older adults deserve care that goes beyond just managing disease — it’s about dignity, independence, and quality of life. By equipping healthcare professionals with the right tools, we can make a real difference not only for our patients but also for their families and communities.

What You’ll Find on GeriMedEd

  • Bite-sized clinical guides and summaries.

  • Case studies and scenarios to help with exam prep and real-world practice.

  • Educational projects and collaborations with colleagues in Singapore and across Asia.

This site isn’t meant to be a textbook. Think of it as a growing collection of practical tools and shared experiences — things I wish I had when I first started out in geriatrics.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope GeriMedEd helps you on your own journey in caring for older adults.

Audrey
